As soon as I take a swig from the antidote, I immediately feel it's affects. The burning venom in my veins subsides to a cooling sensation throughout my whole body. Slumping against the headstone behind me, I let out a sigh as I finally feel relaxed.

The canon sounds.

I hope it wasn't Helle. I want to be there when her canon sounds.

Her curse sent me to those awful catacombs. It must be the quell twist that the Capitol had refused to mention before the games started. We have to die, but then Helle's magic will bring us back for another round. They might have even conspired with the girl from seven.

My reason to volunteer was that I needed an escape.

What was Helle's?

I rummage through my bag that I had on me when I had awoken in the darkness. It was the same color as my clothes, a blinding white. The bottle of greenish liquid I had been given alongside everything else seemed rather out of place. Why would they give me this liquid and an urn at the same time?

Uncorking the bottle, I take a sniff. It definitely isn't water.

But I'm starting to get thirsty, so I take a small swig.

The liquid burns my throat, leaving a trail that falls into my stomach and hurts my mouth as if it was the snake's venom in my body. Quickly re-corking it and sticking my tongue out, the cold air cools my mouth as I gasp. My eyes narrowed I shove it back into my bag as I try to ignore the disgusting taste lingering in my mouth.

Looking up at the cloudy sky, I yell out to wherever their cameras are.

"If you want to poison me again at least send me another antidote!"

The gamemakers hear everything, right? Hopefully they wouldn't let me accidentally poison myself. That wouldn't make for a good show.

Looking through the bag, I find nothing to sooth the taste with. What I do find is the pair of dice I found in the Catacombs. They had an odd, rough texture to them. They weren't made of plastic like the ones in district three. They felt like something unfamiliar and they were a strange, yellowish white color.

Bone.

Which poor avox was killed to make these?

Bored, I roll them onto the ground. There's nothing else to do.

Two ones.

Snake eyes.

If the universe was trying to send me a message about Jade, it really didn't need to go through all the trouble.

Sighing, I pick up the die and shove them back into my bag. I could feel my strength finally coming back after the venom in the Catacombs. Fixing my gaze on the mausoleum, I felt a shiver run through my body. I never want to be cursed back there.

But the mausoleum would provide a good vantage point to try and find my allies if they weren't dead yet.

Pushing myself off of my feet, I steady myself as I begin to take flight.

Once I reach the top of the mausoleum, I steady myself against the curved roof as I look around. In the distance, it looked as if the arena was split cleanly into four sections. In one area, I see a glistening light. In another, it looked as if a storm was abundant in the whole section. Another had a huge pillar that reached for the sky, and the last looked like it was filled with a bright red sand.

Where could they have gone?

I'll find them soon enough. Jade'll regret leaving me behind soon enough. I just hope Dominic and Pisces are still alive.
